You also need enough health or respawn tolerance to jump into the lava pit at the base without losing significant tycoon momentum.
From your tycoon base, travel to the hotel exterior and enter through the main lobby. Ride elevators or stairs until you reach the fourth floor. Turn toward the left-side room cluster — community callouts consistently label this as the fourth floor left room. Sweep the interior for a faint gem sparkle or interact prompt. Some players spot the gem immediately on a shelf or corner ledge; others need to shift camera angle because Roblox lighting in Ice Tycoon 2 can hide small collectibles against ice textures.
Collecting the gem in the hotel room is only half of Gem 1. The quest design sends you to Frozen Magma afterward.
